Albert Schroeder

Mr. Albert Schroeder, 77, of Anderson passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2012, at the St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-7pm with a prayer service at 6pm at Nobles Funeral Chapel. Funeral services are scheduled for 10am at the Zion Lutheran Church in Anderson with the Rev. R.H. Wuensche, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Albert was born on April 25, 1935, in White Hall, the son of Gus & Ida (Finke) Schroeder. He married Mildred Wellmann on February 16, 1958, in Old Washington. A farmer all his life, when Albert wasn't tending to the crops he was volunteering his time. He was very involved in the Grimes County Fair and the Poor Boys as well as an Elder at the Zion Lutheran Church and a past school board member for the Anderson/Shiro I.S.D.
Albert was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Victor Wayne Schroeder; sister, Dorothy Marie Wellmann; and brother-in-law, Donald Binford.
He is survived by his loving wife Mildred Schroeder of Anderson; daughter, Brenda Schroeder of Anderson; son, Ricky Schroeder and wife Sandy of Anderson; sister, Geraldine Binford of Navasota; brother Gerald Schroeder and wife Mary of Anderson; and grandchildren, Loren Schroeder and fianc? Blake Burns and Megan Schroeder.
Serving as pallbearers are Darrell Binford, Mark Diorio, and Michael Serres of Navasota, Anthony Bohnert, Ryan Haynie, Kent Fisher, and Milton Schroeder of Anderson, and Don Wellmann of Washington.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Grimes County Fair Association Scholarship Fund.
