Mylida Adell Erwin Dirickson, 70, of Keith, passed peacefully in her sleep at home early Monday, May 31, 2010, with her loved ones and under the care of Southern Care Hospice. Viewing will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 2 at Nobles Funeral Home in Navasota. Funeral is set for 10 a.m. Thursday, June 3, at Evergreen Freewill Baptist Church in Keith.
Adell was born March 17, 1940 in Mumford. She was the second born of 13 children.
She was preceded in death by mother, Lorene and father, Henry Erwin; two brothers, Floyd and Jasper Paul Erwin; three sisters, Retha, "Lil Sister" Erwin and Nona Sue Erwin Shelton and one daughter, Pamela Oleta McLearen.
She left behind, Houston Ray Dirickson, her husband of 48 years; sons, Houston Ray Dirickson, Jr. and wife, Kathy and John Henry Dirickson and wife, Molly; son-in-law, Wayne McLearen; ten grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brothers, Roy, Hardy, Troy, Rodger and Roland; sisters, Rosa and Ruth; many nieces; nephews and too many friends to count.
