Mrs. Adeline E. Wehmeyer, 88, of Anderson died Monday, August 19, 2013, at the Sheridan of Navasota. A visitation will be held Wednesday, August 21 at Nobles Funeral Chapel from 5-7 p.m. The funeral service will be held Thursday, August 22, at 10:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Anderson with the Rev. Kermit Bostelman officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Adeline was born on Wednesday, June 10, 1925, in Navasota, the daughter of Henry and Sophie (Schroeder) Emshoff.
She married Will W. Wehmeyer and worked together running their ranch and dairy for forty years. Adeline was a member of the Lutheran Ladies Aid as well as the Sunshine Center in Anderson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and daughter, Melva Downs.
She is survived by her son, Melvin Wehmeyer and his wife Pamela of College Station and one grandchild.
Serving as pallbearers are Chester Finke, Dennis Leiber, Franklin Schroeder, James Schroeder, Wesley Schroeder, and Frank Smith.
Honorary pallbearers are Clarence Emshoff and Carson Wehmeyer.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Zion Lutheran Church.
