Mr. James Q. Ratcliff, 83, of Houston passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at the Navasota Nursing and Rehab Center. A funeral service is scheduled for Monday, February 18th at 9:00 a.m. at Nobles Funeral Chapel with the Rev. C. McAllister "Mac"Vaughn officiating. Interment will follow in the Fanthorpe Cemetery in Anderson. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
James was born on January 30, 1930, in Navasota, Texas, the son of John Noble and Alice (Yarborough) Ratcliff, Sr. James attended Lon Morris College and earned a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Sam Houston State University. He loved traveling, movies, Wheel of Fortune and The Price is Right.
Mr. Ratcliff was preceded in death by his parents and brother, John Noble Ratcliff, Jr.
He is survived by nephew, Robert S. and Terri Ratcliff of Anderson; niece Kathleen R. and James Wourms of Houston and many great nieces and nephews and many great great nieces and nephews.
